EPC’s
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) shows the energy efficiency of your property whether it is a domestic or commercial property.
The information gathered during an assessment can be used to look at energy saving improvements that can be made to a property and can lead to a Green Deal survey for dwellings.
When do you need an EPC
When a property is made available for rental or sale.
Solar PV Feed in Tariff (FIT) applications.
Green Deal and for Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) applications.
Applications for Green Deal Finance or other funding streams.
Energy Company Obligation (ECO) funding for insulation or other energy saving measures.
How is an EPC Calculated
An EPC assesment covers:
The construction of the property including materials
Size and area of the building including heat loss area
Lighting
Hot water & heating systems
Renewable technologies
